ABOUT US
Organized in 1996, Sonoma County Breastfeeding Coalition is a community organization. The coalition is 100% supported by community members comprised of physicians, lactation consultants, nurses, dieticians and breastfeeding supporters representing local WIC agencies, hospitals, health clinics, private practices and community providers.

The Child Parenting Institute (CPI) provides nonprofit status to the
Sonoma County Breastfeeding Coalition.

MISSION
To educate and empower women to breastfeed; to encourage breastfeeding-friendly attitudes, policies, and images in the community; to promote unity among breastfeeding professionals and advocates; and to increase public awareness of the value of breastfeeding.

WHAT WE DO
Our coalition supports local initiatives that promote breastfeeding, creates educational tools for healthcare providers in the community, and raises money through our annual breastfeeding conference.
